Do these hot tubs require electricity?

Our pure wood-fired models require absolutely zero electricity—the water is heated entirely by the integrated or external marine-grade stove. However, if you choose to upgrade your tub with our optional hydro-massage or LED lighting systems, a standard, simple electrical plug-in will be required.

What type of wood is best for the stove?

For the fastest and most efficient heating, we highly recommend using well-seasoned, dry hardwoods such as birch, ash, or maple. Dry softwoods (like cedar or pine) can also be used, but hardwoods burn longer and produce cleaner, more consistent heat with less smoke.

Can the hot tub be used during extreme winter freezes (-30°C)?

Yes, absolutely. Every eurohottubs.ca model is engineered specifically for the harsh Canadian climate. Thanks to our high-efficiency insulation options and powerful marine-grade stainless steel stoves, the water easily heats up to an optimal 40°C (104°F) in just 2 to 3 hours, even in deep sub-zero temperatures.

How do I drain the water in the winter so it doesn’t freeze?

Every tub is equipped with a high-flow, heavy-duty drain valve. Draining the water takes less than 10 minutes. In extreme winter conditions, simply open the valve immediately after your bathing session to ensure no water remains inside the plumbing or massage jets to freeze.
